SURGICAL SERVICES

Donalsonville Hospital's Surgical Department provides a wide variety of surgical services.  There are three Operating Suites as well as a well equipped Recovery Room. 

A variety of surgical services are performed by our highly skilled surgeons, including general surgery, ENT, Urologic, Gynecological, Laparoscopic and Endoscopic procedures.

State of the art equipment and well trained staff are essential in providing the best possible surgical care available.

Same day surgery is available to accommodate patients and prevent unnecessary overnight hospitalization.

Well experienced, competent CRNA's provide anesthesia services to our surgical patients at Donalsonville Hospital.  Surgical Nursing Staff include experienced Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and OR Surgical Techs who work in collaboration with surgeons to provide excellent surgical care.

 

 
MEDICAL SURGICAL UNIT:
Provides care in private and semi-private rooms to patients of all ages.  The size of the unit supports the availability of staff to the patients and promise quality, compassionate care.  The Nursing Staff includes RN's, LPN's, CNA's, and Male Attendants who are skilled in caring for patients with chronic and acute medical problems, as well as post operative surgical patients.  Unit Secretaries are also available on each shift to answer patient calls in a timely manner.  The electronic medical record is in place to insure accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
