Scope of services offered at Donalsonville Hospital:

• Arterial Blood Gases

• Oxygen Therapy

• Flutter Valves

• CPAP

• Chest Physical Therapy

• Airway care / Endotracheal intubation

• Aerosolized medication administration

• Respiratory Assessments

Respiratory Care Services provide care to patients of all ages, ranging from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people whose lungs are diseased. Respiratory Care works under the direction of a physician to evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. Services are available on in-patient, out-patient, and emergency basis.

The Respiratory Care Department is staffed with registered/certified respiratory therapists who are licensed by the State of Georgia.  The Respiratory staff work as a team with the physicians, nurses, and other staff to provide the best respiratory care possible.
